China, Peru sign free trade agreement

Beijing - China and Peru on Tuesday signed a free trade agreement (FTA) that the Chinese government hailed as an 'important signal' of closer international cooperation amid the global financial crisis.

'With the global financial crisis looming, the China-Peru deal sends a positive message of deepening cooperation and tiding over difficulties,' state media quoted Chinese Commerce Ministry official Zhu Hong as saying.

Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping and his Peruvian counterpart, Luis Giampietri Rojas, attended the signing ceremony in Beijing, both calling the deal 'a new landmark' for bilateral ties, the Commerce Ministry reported on its website.

The trade pact is China's second with a Latin American nation after the signing of a similar deal with Chile in November 2005.

'The China-Peru FTA is a comprehensive deal, covering goods, service, investment and other fields while the accord with Chile deals with goods only,' the official Xinhua news agency quoted Zhu as saying.

China signed a supplementary agreement with Chile last year on trade in services.

Zhu said the agreement with Peru features a 'high degree of openness' with phased, free tariffs on more than 90 per cent of goods, including Chinese electronic goods and machinery, and Peruvian fish powder and minerals.

Both nations agreed to open their service industries further and give national status to investors from the other country, the ministry said.

Zhu said the agreement was likely to be implemented in early 2010 and would help both nations overcome the global economic crisis and boost their economies.

China and Peru reached a basic accord on the free trade agreement in November after 14 months of negotiations.

Bilateral trade was valued at 7.5 billion dollars last year, according to Chinese customs statistics.

China has also signed free trade pacts with the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Pakistan, New Zealand and Singapore.

It is negotiating free trade deals with countries and organizations that include Australia, the Gulf Cooperation Council, Iceland, Norway and Costa Rica, the agency said.

The new Led street light LU1 of BBE LED, which was finished and pushed to the market for only a few months, has draw great interests from the customers all over the world.

The led street light LU1, as an integrated light fixture, like our retrofit led street light SP90, is 28W led to replace 75W HPS lamps. But LU1 is better than SP90 at some factors, especially LU1 can control the heat much better. Since LU1 is the integrated led street light fixture, there is enough room inside for air ventilation, and the fixture is made in alluminium, so the area for heat sink is larger.

Right now, we have many customers trying this new led street light LU1, and it has been installed in some places of the world, here below shows you in Chile, and working with solar and wind turbine.

Time flies year by year, we, BBE LED, stepped into a new year smoothly even though the year of 2008 is so unnormal.

Our great country faced the snow storm, met the earthquake disaster, even experienced and is fighting with the global financial crisis, but we are still strong-minded, we sucessfully hold an Olympic Games, it was absolutely fantastic and unprecedented. We are proud of the country.

As one worker in BBE LED, I am proud of our company as well. We know many factories bankrupted in the passed a few months attacked by the financial crisis, it came too fast, everybody is not ready, so eventually many people lost their jobs. But our company, as a professional manufacturer of led street light, led traffic signal light and led indoor bulb, is still standing, and to make us much happier is the turn over in 2008 is one more times than 2007, we cheer, every colleague here will work harder this year, we target that we will make one more times of turn over than 2008. We are confident to meet that.

In China, Jan 1 is called "Yuan Dan", and "Yuan" means beginning or No.1, "Dan" means a new day or morning, so they together means the first day in a year. But in ancient China, the lunar calendar is used, so Jan 1 or Yuan Dan is normally regarded as the Spring Festival, the Chinese traditional new year. However, when the new China is established, the solar calendar chronology is started to use in China, then set Jan 1 as Yuan Dan, which is using till now, we can call it new year, but it is different from Chinese traditional new year.

I never think that our bbe led street light can be used like this, see the picture, it is like a windmill. The picture is sent by my customer, it should be took in the evening, seems the weather is not very good, so it is no very clear.

However, the customer said it was very good light, the eight bbe led street light LU6 are amounted in the sky of 30m high tower, and they are very well illuminated with 100 square meters and 20lux, the most important is they can save a lot of power because they are used to replace the 1000W HPS lamps. That is much crazy of the power saving.

Right now, the led lighting is developing fast, with it's great power saving. long life and environmental characters, it explodes the innovation in lighting field, and the governments of each country is supporting the led lights in any ways, so it is obviously that the led lights will be the future.

Last week, I went to see our led street light on the road, in Nanshan distric, Shenzhen, even though they have been installed for over two years, and I have come to the company for a year, this is the first time I see the led street light on the road.

Although we instroduce to our customers how good our led street light is, although I saw the photos, I never feel it by myself before, so this time, when we drove to the road, wow, it is much different.

The light is soft and the distribution is very even, with high color rendering index, the object is clear and true. I took the pictures, but sorry for my bad skill, my hand might shake.

Next to our BBE LED street light is the 250W HPS lamps, it is obvious that the HPS lamps are looks like brighter, but see the road, it is not so bright as our led streetlight, and you can see the center of the road is very dim.

Non-pollutive street light detects earthquakes

Japanese company Sharp is now launching a solar-powered street light. Combining Sharp’s own solar modules and long-life, white LEDs, the Japanese company presents the environmentally friendly street light solution of the 21st century. The unit delivers brightness at the highest level; still the unit does not produce any light pollution, uses no mercury, and emits no ultraviolet light.
Storage batteries charge from sunlight during the day and shines automatically at night. The level of maintenance is minimal as Sharp’s solution only requires replacement once every 10 years.

One of the extra benefits that especially cities in earthquake zones will enjoy is the built-in seismic motion sensor. This feature enables the unit to detect any earthquake measuring five or higher on the Japanese Seismic Intensity Scale. When detected, the unit will turn on full brightness at nighttime hours for at least two days.

Initially, the solution will be available on the Japanese market. In Europe, the European Union applaudes companies who commit to the reudction of light pollution. Thus, the EU GreenLight Programme has been developed to involve public and private organisations in upgrading their lighting systems to reduce light pollution. Well-known B2C companies such as McDonald’s and Nike have been awarded partner status, while international operating B2B companies such as Amplex A/S and Reverberi Enetec are awarded the endorser status.

True Man Ramp, it is obviously understandable that you will be true man if you can reach the top of the ramp, but it is not easy, especially after long hiking.It is heard that the ramp is nearly 90 degree, with the belief of the adage “He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man”, we move on even though we are very tired. We have to challenge ourselves and to approve we are the true men. Let’s go!

See! The small white pot is where the True Man Ramp is, it is still far but we never think we will give up, overcome the difficulties, we will see the better sight.

Oh, come on! Eventually we reach the True Man Ramp. See! The characters on the big stone are the Chinese name. But don’t think we have reached the top, here is the bottom, it is just beginning. Have a short rest, we start climbing.

Our feets touch the ramp, it is narrow and abrupt, you can see it is nearly one meter width but the top can't be seen, the fog is arround everwhere, it seems that it is the way to the sky, that is the heaven over there, the people is striving to be god-man, like Mr. Tang (Tang Monk, the master of the Monkey King). Frankly speaking, the people who can come here is very very tired, but nobody wants to give up, someone is drinking, someone is eating, someone sits on the step, and someone will say:" I will never come again."but I know they are very enjoying, just taking a short break, they will go on. This is life, we may meet more difficulties in our lives, you will win as long as you hold your own.

Great! the natural oxygen bar, the air is very very fresh, I can hold the fresh air in my hand.

It's the first time I am so close to the sky. The whole city of Shenzhen is under my feet, I win, I win...

Climbing Wutong Mountain (1)

What a wonderful Day today, we go to climb Wutong Mountain in Shenzhen, but it's really tired, I am sleepy now to write the blog, but I do want to share with you.

Wutong Mountain is the highest mountain in Shenzhen, altitude is 943.7m, it is one of the Eight Landscapes of Shenzhen. It is the natural oxygen bar, we came here to join the nature, to clear our heart and body, even though it's tired, we are still happy, or why there are so many people coming?

Our first station is the Taishan Gully, we need go down to the valley, most of the visitors chose this road, as the road is narrow, abrupt and dangerous, but it is exciting.

The mountain is gree, the steam is clear, the body is relexed, it seems that we have gone back to childhood, we have forgotten who we are, how old we are, we are just playing, nothing is thought, like a child, join the mountain and share the happiness.

Walk in the space

Last night, China's third manned spacecraft lifted off at 9:10 pm to fulfill its most ambitious and risky mission: spacewalk.

After I got off work last night, nearly 8:50pm, I went to the Century Plaza, near where we are living, and I found there were a lot of people sitting in the front of the big led screen, which was showing the Shenzhou 7 Launching, everybody was cheering at the time of firing, they are pround of the flying development of our science and technology.

Shenzhou VII, carrying astronauts Zhai Zhigang, Liu Boming and Jing Haipeng, blasted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Gansu province, into a clear sky. The astronauts will orbit the Earth for three days, 68 hours, to be precise, and one of them will walk in space about 343 km above the Earth on Saturday. That will make China the third country after Soviet Union and the US.

A growing apple tree

There is an apple tree, he is small, but eventually apples grow on this tree.

In the first year, there are ten apples grow, but nine is taken away only one is left to him, he is very angry and doesn't want to grow up. However, five apples grow in the second year, and four is taken away, only one is left again. But he is very happy this time, as he thinks he gets 20%, but only 10% last year.

I think there are a lot of people still immersed in the amazing opening show of the Beijing Olympic Games, words can't express how great it is, many customers of mine feeded back to me that it was the best show they have ever seen, and sent their sincere greetings and congratulations to me. At this time, I am so proud, I am proud of the Beijing Olympics, I am proud of the directors of the show, I am proud of the actors and actresses, and the most important, I am pround of being a Chinese.
